GT Scotland goes to Zandvoort

GT Scotland goes to Zandvoort

I'm sure every petrolhead's dream vacation is doing a roadtrip with awesome cars and good friends. The guys from GT Scotland must've thought the same, since they organised a roadtrip through Europe. GT Scotland is an organisation for and by petrolheads who bring fellow car enthusiasts together for events like these. This year they did the trip with a Lamborghini Diablo VT 6.0, TVR Tuscan, TVR Sagaris, Lotus Elise, Ariel Atom and to top it off a 760-hp Ford GT.

The group was spotted at the ferry in Ijmuiden earlier this week by Thomcarspotter and the Ford GT and Diablo VT 6.0 were awarded Spot of the Day in The Netherlands. These Scots all have gasoline running through their veins so it's not a surprise that they like to track their cars. Naturally they made a trip to the track in Zandvoort when they were in Amsterdam. In Zandvoort I joined the group, which turned out to be a good decision since it's not every day you get the opportunity to get a ride in a Diablo VT 6.0 and a Ford GT, and spend the afternoon talking cars with other enthusiasts!

Some fun facts on the cars:
The Ford GT has some 'subtle improvements'. Thanks to an upgraded supercharger the engine now produces 760Hp.
The owner of the Elise S1 decided to put the car on a diet, and gave it a home made naked carbon fiber front.
To maintain the TVRs it's not as simple as just popping the hood. With these TVRs you almost need to take out the entire front end of the car to do something like adding some oil.
The Lamborghini driver proves the stereotype by taking at least 1.5 parking spot every time he parks!

More information on this group of petrolheads can be found on their Instagram and Facebook pages.
