Last year we started a cooperation with the German company Motion Drive. Experience the ultimate drive behind the wheel of a sportscar or supercar. Recently we had an interview with founder Phillipp Müller about his company Motion Drive.
What's more fun than driving? As a petrolhead you probably can't think of something else. Unfortunately not everybody has the chance to drive or own a sports car. Are you just as curious what it feels like to drive a sports car? Next year we will organize several events in cooperation with Motion Drive where you can take place behind the steering wheel of one of Motion Drive's sports cars. Next few months we will release some more information about these events. Next to that, we will visit some of the bigger cities with these sports cars to show you what a sports car feels like.

1. How did the idea of Motion Drive start?
I have always been highly interested in sports cars and have driven one myself for quite some time. After enjoying much popularity from my peers I decided to make my passion my profession. What I wanted to do was to provide ordinary people with an extraordinary experience. It all started back in 2009 with a Porsche. I used to rent those cars and drive them myself. But why not offer this incredible experience to others as well? And so, the idea of Motion Drive came to life. After that I decided to build into a professional company which keeps on growing currently.
2. We visited the Spreewald Ring last summer. Why do you like this track to invite clients and are there any other tracks in Germany you really like?
What I like about the Spreewald Ring is that it is the perfect track for beginners. With 2,6 kilometers of length the navigation is easier than on the longer tracks. The location close to Berlin is also very accessible. Due to other major racing events the track is well known to a broad audience. We enjoy a large clientele at all our events there. Another track I like very much is the Bilster Berg Drive Resort. This completely newly built race track is a paradise for every intermediate driver. The 4,2 kilometer long track is challenging and therefore exciting. One of the most legendary race tracks in the world is the Nürnburgring. The northern part of this track is 21 kilometers long and is rather difficult. The adrenaline rush you get when driving there is just incredible.
3.What kind of customers attends the Motion Drive events?
Everyone who wants to experience the once in a lifetime opportunity of driving a super sports car is seen at our events. Whether it is the young drivers who want to get a feeling of the car during our drift trainings or the practiced drivers who want to experience the fast pace of the race tracks – age groups range from 18 to 60.
4. What are the future plans with the company?
We're still expanding all over Europe, so opening new stations is the first step in our future. There are several nice newcomers at the sports cars scene that could turn ones head – so let´s see which one will get into our fleet at next. Especially the Racetrack Events and Guided Tours are increasing dramatically, so promoting these events and convince our fans with all-unique products is another main target for the future
5. Driving a sports car is something unique. Especially as a first experience. Do you still remember what your first experience was with Motion Drive?
Driving our first car, a first generation Porsche 996 for the first time after re-building the whole car. Wow, what high emotions 300hp once caused…. That is still a moment I'll never forget and it revives everytime I start a Porsche, doesn't matter whether it´s a 996 or a brand new 991. The feeling you get from driving a Porsche keeps on being special. It feels like coming home. It feels trusted.
6. Another question regarding the driving experience. How do you feel about the fact that sometimes really unexperienced drivers can have a go in a Ferrari or Lamborghini? How do you and the Motion Drive team deal with this?
Before the clients start their driving experience we give them a briefing. We explain how the car behaves and how to drive it safely. They also have to leave a security deposit which gives them an incentive to return the car in one piece.
7. From your personal point of view: What gives you the best feeling during these events?
Seeing the happiness and the excitement in the eyes of the drivers is the greatest reward for me. The incredible feeling of driving one of our super sports cars is rewarding and breathtaking all at once. Being the one who is able to fulfill these lifelong wishes satisfies me and fills me with pride.
