Unique experience: the delivery of a Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4
Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 is a big name for a car. It is one of the most brutal cars from this moment and you must be very happy when you have the delivery of your own Aventador scheduled early on the Saturday morning.
On days like this, you hurry yourself out of bed, brush your teeth and totally forget your breakfast. We get in the car and head to Leusden. On our way to Leusden we try to get the best out of the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4, because that’s what we always do. When we arrived, she (the Aventador) was already waiting for us under a curtain. First we had to say goodbye to our old love, the Gallardo LP560-4. A hard goodbye, although the Gallardo’s successor is much more beautiful and faster. After a small talk and some drinks it is time to reveal the car, my father has the honor to do this.
Well, there she is: grey with black wheels. The colour is important, some think it’s boring, ‘typical Dutch’ or maybe they just don’t like it. Other think it’s great, not to outstanding, business like and very pretty. Of course yellow is another colour that would look amazing but it just stands out to much in a country like the Netherlands. Age is also an important factor in this decision. The youth will choose for yellow, red or blue but adults mostly prefer black of grey. You cannot argue about taste. The wheels, they just need to be black and that’s something everybody will probably agree.
When we drive with the Aventador you just end up mad. 700 bhp, a sprint to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds, you will probably know the specs. The engine is screaming behind you but we can’t really speed with the car yet. We have to take it easy for the first 500 kilometers but it still is a great experience. The attention you get in a car like this is enormous, even more than when we drove the Gallardo. Maybe it is because the Gallardo in black was more subdued.
After some driving the day is ending. Only important thing left is making some pictures. After I’ve made some pictures and uploaded them I get back outside and just take a look at the car. An Aventador in the Netherlands, it is just crazy and I don’t really realize it yet.
Now, a week later, the unbelief haven’t changed yet. Driving in the car is amazing, the acceleration is just phenomenal. Too bad I haven’t my own drivers license yet. The car is just asking to be driven, every time of the day. Unfortunately winter is coming and this means she has to stay inside for a while.
