The Nürburgring seems to be a favored location for the Valkyrie, but that shouldn't surprise us when it comes to this car. Of course, most Valkyries we've seen there so far have been test cars. But that doesn't make much of a difference, naturally.
The Valkyrie is undoubtedly one of the most extreme, if not the most extreme, cars from the Aston Martin stable. Its curves and lines have little to do with a typical car; rather, they resemble a blend of a highly advanced fighter jet and an extraterrestrial UFO. The vehicle is adorned with spoilers, air intakes, and endless carbon components. Only the four large tires remind us that it could indeed be some form of automobile.
Witnessing the appearance of this beast on the road remains incredible, leaving both old and young individuals in awe. The Valkyrie was developed by Red Bull Racing in collaboration with the renowned sports car manufacturer Aston Martin. The design comes from Adrian Newey, the Technical Director of Red Bull Racing and one of the most successful Formula 1 designers.
The Valkyrie is equipped with a 6.5 liter V12 engine developed by Cosworth. Additionally, there is an electric motor that further enhances the performance, turning the vehicle into a hybrid. The total power of the Valkyrie is estimated at an impressive 1,160 horsepower. The power-to-weight ratio is extremely low, meaning the vehicle offers exceptional acceleration and top speed.
To maximize performance, particular attention was paid to lightweight construction in the design of the Valkyrie. Advanced materials such as carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic and titanium are used to minimize weight. The interior of the Valkyrie is minimalist and stripped down to the essentials. The production of the Aston Martin Valkyrie is limited to an extremely small number of 150 units worldwide. The exclusivity and high price make the Valkyrie a sought-after collector's item. The aerodynamics of the Valkyrie are highly sophisticated to maximize downforce and ensure driving stability at high speeds.
