McLaren has been very busy promoting the P1 over last few months. The first cars will probably be delivered at the end of this month to the first monied customers. To rise the sales, as some of the 375 copies remain unsold, or to please the desiring future owners, several copies are driving around on dealership's plates. Recently, two of those copies got spotted in Spain, including dealership's plates.
Earlier on, we saw a spotted P1 which was fitted with dealership's plates and we regularly see McLaren's own testing models. McLaren is still very busy with promoting the P1. Recently, a nearly production-ready prototype was spotted, the so-called P1 XP2R. The final test will be done before the supercar will be brought into the hands of the customers. The McLaren P1 is foreseen of a 3.8 liter V8 and electric engines with a total power of 903 bhp and 980 Newtonmeters. With that specs, it is the direct rival of the LaFerrari and Porsche 918 Spyder.
