Those who say English weather is the worst clearly have not been to this fantastic Salon Privé’s 2022 edition. Over 16,000 people attended one of London’s most exclusive events located in the Royal Hospital Chelsea.
A world-première was the “Concours de Vente” which combined a classic Concours d’Élégance while making the cars available for sale. Indeed, all the cars on the lawn — which are not in current production — were from renowned international and UK car dealers.
Besides, there were also the finest makes of cars on the market including Bugatti, Ferrari, Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, Pininfarina, Maserati, Alpine, just to name a few.
Some of the highlights included the Ferrari Daytona SP3, the Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro, the Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport, the Koenigsegg Agera S and the Tushek TS900 Apex.
Luckily, some private collectors also showed up during the show to treat us with their automobiles and they did not disappoint. Indeed, nothing less than a Ferrari Monza SP2 and a Pagani Huayra charmed old and young visitors of Salon Privé.
As in any Concours, there were some winners which did not disappoint with their pedigree and outstanding look. Namely, the 1954 OSCA MT4, winner of the ‘Prix d’Honneur’, the 1934 Bentley Barnato Hassan, the Mercedes 300SL, the Ferrari Enzo and the Austin Healey.
