Ferrari increases their production in the next few years

Ferrari is still doing great. They're currently keeping the production on a certain level to maintain the exclusivity of their models. The upcoming IPO of Ferrari will result in the fact that they will increase the production in the next few years without making their models less exclusive.

Production statistics of Ferrari always remain a mystery. Especially with limited models, Ferrari doesn't really count their produced models. With the new and growing markets outside Europe and North America it's more and more interesting for Ferrari to increase the production over the next few years.

With free shares that are given away the brand Ferrari will slightly change. Shareholders want to see their dividend while Ferrari still has to make sure that the value of their cars stays stable. Especially in the last few years Ferraris became way more desirable. A 458 Speciale is currently worth more than price of a new copy and almost every limited Ferrari is worth more than the standard price. The current production is around 7.000 copies a year. Ferrari wants to increase their production to 9.000 copies a year at the end of 2019. The introduction of an entry level model is being considered for a while already and this seems to become reality now.
