The DB2 is seen as Aston Martins first project with success after the war. With technical influences by Aston Martin and Lagonda, both companies owned by David Brown after he bought the companies in 1947. In 1950 this car was titled to best British sportcar of that year. The possibilities weren’t big at that time, so only 98 copies are build. If you own one, realize that you have got something extremely valuable in your garage. This year one copy got sold for more than four hundred thousand American Dollars.

For this amount of money the owner received a real legendary Aston Martin, with 105 bhp and 169 Newtonmeter of torque. At that time this numbers were exquisite, nowadays it is outran by a Volkswagen Golf. A topspeed of 177 kilometers per hour was extremely high at that time, nowadays the Vanquish 2012 does 315 kph. Only this model doesn’t have the simplistic elegance which makes this car so extremely good-looking, even after sixty years!
