IAA 2013: Ferrari 458 Speciale

Ferrari’s newest weapon in the sports car segment is the Ferrari 458 Speciale. The successor of the Challenge Stradale and 430 Scuderia brings the concept of less weight and more power to a higher level. In Frankfurt, the car has its European debut and that comes with a lot of media attention.

The Ferrari 458 Speciale has a lot of new technology. The most innovating system is the Side Slip Angle Control system. This has to make it easier to drive the car on the limit, although not every owner will dare to do this. On the inside, the car is a carbon fiber paradise. It isn’t only for show, it’s also used to reduce the weight. The car lost 90 kilograms and that’s almost the weight of an adult passenger.

On the inside, the center console stands out. The carbon fiber tower with the most important buttons is the most remarkable. The handling of the car will probably attract you to use all the 605 hp. We already knew what this car would look like on the streets because the first copy is already spotted in Barcelona.
