IAA 2015: Ford Focus RS

If we had to wait long for one car it is the Ford Focus RS. We already saw the exterior of the car but now Ford finally released the specifications of the car. It's clear that is a competitor of every hothatch available at this moment. The looks are already great but the specifications are even better.

Under the hood we find the same 2.3 liter EcoBoost engine we know from the Ford Mustang. In the Focus RS the engine produces 350 hp and 440 Nm of torque. This makes it sprint to 100 kph in 4.7 seconds and makes it possible to reach a top speed of 266 kph. The competitors, most likely the Mercedes-Benz A 45 AMG and Audi RS3, will probably have a hard time to keep up with the Ford. The previous Focus RS was already a really fun car to drive especially because it could handle its power very well. Now that it has even more power, Ford also installed four-wheel drive, just like their competitors. The power can be divided from 100% to the front wheels to 70% to the rear wheels, where the power can also be split between every individual wheel. The Focus RS even has a drift button to slide through corners just like Ken Block does. This makes the Focus RS a car that's aiming on a lot of fun while driving. One thing's for sure, the competitors are warned for the Focus RS.
