Maserati GranTurismo-successor will be more compact

The current Maserati GranTurismo seems to be too spacious, if we can believe the words of Maserati’s designers. The successor of the Maserati GranTurismo and GranCabrio, which is to be expected in 2015, will be much more compact and more of a 2+2 than the car is now. Hopefully they will keep the beautiful design, because this car still catches loads of attention, even after six years.

The new direction of design has to provide Maserati of more sales, so they say. Maserati sells less than seven thousand cars a year, but they will boost this up to fifty thousand copies. This sounds like an extremely optimistic aim, but the sales of the new Quattroporte are above the expectations, and the compact Ghibli also has to entice customers to the showroom. Next to that, Maserati is considering making a two-seat sportcar, which has to be more extreme than the 3200GT and 4200GT. We are really looking forward to the future models of Maserati, because their new strategy have to be a guarantee for spectacle.
