A G-class like never before. You can make a case for the G 500 4x4 en de G 63 6x6, but it is hard to make one for the Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet. Who wants to sit in the back like a dignitary while off-roading or climbing the sand-hills in the Sahara. And you probably want to sit behind the steering wheel and your spouse would not appreciate the mud and the sand thrown from the rear tires. Luckily only 99 people have to worry about that.
The G 650 Laundaulet will be limited. The passengers can enjoy the all the luxury thanks to the longer wheelbase. The rear seats are equal to the ones in the S-class and provide upgraded comfort in the G 650. The rear seats have a massage function and can be reclined all the way back. A giant center console with hidden folding tables can heat or cool cups in the cup holder. An entertainment system offers two 10-inch, high-resolution displays.
The G 650 is powered by a 6.0 liter V12, that produces 630 hp and and 738 pound-feet of torque. The car will be shown to the public in Geneva at the 87th International Motor Show 2017. We expect the car to be sold out immediately and we expect to see the first spots in the Fall.
