Mercedes released some information and photos of their newest creation, the Coupé version of the C-Class. The car will be unveiled at the IAA in Frankfurt, next month. The second generation C Coupé will compete with the BMW 4 Series and the Audi A5.
The looks of the car won't make it a problem to compete. The previous generation was a sedan with two doors but the newest version is a real coupé. The looks remind us of a smaller S-Class Coupé. In combination with Mercedes' new grill, big air intakes and bumper at the back the C Coupé looks just lovely. The car is sporty but still stylish. We can't wait for the AMG version of this new model.
The C-Class is really innovative with a lot of technology such as Attention Assist, a system that has to make sure that you won't fall asleep, Collision Prevention Assist, which has to prevent crashing into another car and the optional Distronic Plus, a system that does the steering for you on highways. Besides keeping the pedal down and staying awake there's not much you have to do.
The model will be introduced with power from 158 hp to 248 hp. There's a choice between two four-cylinder gasoline engines. A 1.6 liter and a 2.0 liter. Those who drive a lot can also choose a diesel engine which is again a four-cylinder with an engine capacity of 2.1 liter. The engines use 27 percent less fuel than the predecessors, that's quite an achievement.
