New Porsche 911 Turbo even more powerful

Even faster and more powerful. The amount of horsepower keeps on growing and Porsche does the same with the facelift of the new Porsche 911 Turbo. Porsche will unveil the new 911 Turbo and 911 Turbo S on the Detroit Motor Show in January. Both models gain an extra 20 hp.

The 3.8 liter biturbo engine of the new 911 Turbo produces 540 hp while the new 911 Turbo S produces 580 hp. Other adjustments are the sharpened design and other extras on the standard version. The 911 Turbo and Turbo S will be available in January 2016, as well as Coupé as Cabriolet. The power boost of the 911 Turbo is gained thanks to renewed inlet channels in the cylinder heads, new injectors and an increased gasoline pressure. The 911 Turbo S is also equipped with new turbos. Porsche is still the only manufacturer that uses turbos with a variable turbo geometry for gasoline engines. Thanks to the power boost the Turbo sprints to 100 kph in 3.0 seconds while the Turbo S does this in 2.9 seconds.
