Pagani ceases to build its historical Zonda

Mercedes-Benz has ceased to produce their famous and enormous V12 engines. As a result, Pagani will encounter serious problems in continuing the production of its Zonda. It’s even the cause of topical rumors saying the Italian car brand will start building its last Zonda, the Zonda 764 Passione.

Now that AMG controls the production of V12 engines, the tide has turned. According to insiders on TeamSpeed, this means the definite end of the legendary Zonda. In order to say farewell appropriately, there will be produced – as usual – one more model. This promising 764 Passione is said to be built on a Zonda F chassis with several components of the Zonda 760 RS en the 760 LH. Presumably, a Zonda is standing in Pagani’s working place as we speak, dressed with a carbon fiber bodywork and numerous purple parts. This final edition Zonda will be equipped with a manual gearbox and the same power as the 760 RS, namely a whopping 760 BHP. We sure hope these convulsions will result in a pièce de résistance, a last message from Pagani proving once more the mesmerizing brilliance of its historical Zonda.
