Earlier this week there was an exclusive party at Garage Italia Customs to introduce the Pagani Huayra Lampo. Lampo is the Italian word for lightning and the car is build in honor of the Fiat Turbina, a 1954 concept car. After six years of development, Fiat introduced the car propelled by a gas turbine. The Turbina has held the record for lowest drag coefficient (0.14) for 30 years. Due to problems and overheating, the project was short lived and the (one and only) car can be found in the Fiat museum in Italy.
The Lampo is the latest in a long line of one-off Huayra supercars, and this time Pagani teamed up with Lapo Elkann to create this unique Huayra. The car features shades of red paint applied to the carbon fiber panels, while Italian flags adorn the rear wheel arches and Brembo brake calipers. It also benefits from additional carbon fiber body parts taken from the 740-hp Huayra BC, as well as wider front air intake openings that enhance the maximum air flow to the engine by 5.35 percent. Elsewhere, the wheels and aluminium body elements are finished in gold in a nod to the old Fiat logo.
