Already working on a special model based on a car which isn’t introduced yet. That’s how ambitious McLaren is. Three years ago, the McLaren Special Operations Team started a conversation with a customer who wanted a special bodied MP4-12C, a car which wasn’t introduced at that time.
This week, we can see the result at the Monterey Car Week in the USA. The McLaren X-1 concept shows what MSO is able to. Timeless and classic, that were the wishes of the customer. You can see that the X-1 made all his wishes come true. Yes, it took two and a half years to realize this project, but for the owner it really was worth waiting. The customer, who also owns a McLaren F1, SLR McLaren and a MP4-12C is very pleased with the design. The car is almost completely made out of carbon fiber and together with a stonger V8 which produces 625 bhp, this car has got an extreme performance. Of course, we hope this car will be spotted in the future.
