The new Porsche 918 Spyder has quite a job to do. This hybrid Porsche is the successor of the legendary Porsche Carrera GT. Whether the 918 Spyder will be just as successful as its successors is just the question. Porsche is working hard on this, they try to give the car as much attention as they can. The 918 Spyder was recently shown in the streets of Monaco. Spotter Yannick-m spotted the row of 918 Spyders.
Only 26 copies are uploaded to Autogespot yet. They’re definitely rare if you compare it with the amount of spots of its predecessor. The Porsche Carrra GT is spotted 644 times in the past years. The Porsche 918 Spyder is powered by a 4.6 liters V8 which, combined with two electric engines, produces 887 hp. This is enough to keep up with its competitors, the Ferrari LaFerrari and McLaren P1. Spotter Yannick-m spotted four copies in a row in Monaco. This is very special because the car is very rare, only 918 copies will be built. Besides that, the car isn’t officially in production yet: the Porsches which we see on this spot are pre production models. The official production will start at 18 September. We see two matte black copies, a white copy with a Martini livery and a grey with black copy. Which colour will become the most popular for this supercar?
