What is Lamborghini up to?

The Lamborghini Aventador has been in production since 2010 and in all those years there hasn't been a single moment we got bored of it. The styling of the car is out of this world, so extreme that this car has a special impact on you every time you see it. But as always, things don't last forever. Lamborghini is planning a facelift of the Aventador and it looks like the company is testing a prototype of it in the Alps.

At this moment, Lamborghini is focusing on two important projects: the Urus that will be on the market by 2018 and the renewal of the Aventador. Insiders say the facelifted Aventador is going to be the last V12-supercar from Lamborghini, so it's going to be one to remember. These three bulls that were photographed in the Alps were there for one thing: testing. It shows especially on the Aventador, which has different bumpers than the current-gen and has some camouflaged parts as well.

It's still unknown what's exactly going to be updated with the facelift of the Aventador. The expectations are that the gearbox will be updated, because while the current gearbox has brutal shifts that really make you feel special in some way, clients want a more refined gearbox like the one in the Huracán. Besides the upgrade of the gearbox it's likely that the design will receive some minor updates and that we get a bit more power, although I think Lamborghini will keep it below the 750 hp the Aventador SV has. The sales of the Aventador are still on a good and stable level, so a facelift isn't an absolute necessity. Lamborghini will surely take their time to perfect this facelift up to the minor details! We're curious and excited.
