It was early 2021 when McLaren came out with the Artura. A completely new McLaren with a hybrid powertrain. We are now more than 1.5 years later and the car is not yet to be seen on the streets.
What's going on with the McLaren Artura? Last summer, the media was already allowed to drive around with a few copies, but for the time being no new spots have been added. The first spot dates from June 2021, after which a copy was spotted in London in November of that year. Then it was quiet for a long time and a copy was spotted in Spain at the end of July this year. After that it became quiet again while you would expect that McLaren has started production long and wide. What's going on with the Artura. Are there any problems with the powertrain, are there still chip shortages or in the worst case there is no interest at all in the new supercar from the British brand? We do know that it is quiet around this car and that we hope to hear more about that soon.
