Last weekend the Amsterdam was RAI dedicated to the Amsterdam Motor Show. A big show with dozens of sports cars. There was also plenty to see outside, including this latest car from McLaren. The Artura.
The Artura seems like a little problem child from McLaren. The car was introduced to the world wide web two years ago, because then we were still in the middle of a corona crisis. Initially, production was not started due to chip shortages and other trinkets. We now read articles everywhere that the chip shortages have passed their peak and that delivery times are being reduced again. We hope that is also the case for the Artura, because two years after its introduction, only a handful of copies have been spotted. Is it really the production limitation that has an influence on this or do people just not want a McLaren with V6 and hybrid applications? After all, you have no shortage of power with 680 hp. Perhaps it is the emotion which the car lacks, but we will make another evaluation of this article after this summer. Then we'll know if the Artura is really unpopular or if we're wrong.
