Bugatti Galibier 16C is definitely not coming

For about five years already, it's uncertain what Bugatti is planning for the future. Is the Galibier 16C concept the successor of the Veyron or will they come up with a way more powerful Veyron? Both plans will definitely not come true, that's what Bugatti said in an interview with Top Gear. But will there anyway be a new Bugatti?

Bugatti Engineering chief Wolfgang Schreiber stated that the current Super Sport and Vitesse with 1.200 hp are more than powerful enough to keep all the competitors behind. The Galibier 16C is beautiful but doesn't really fit the philosophy of the company, it's not special enough. Meanwhile, Bugatti gave green light for the successor of the Veyron and they're working on the development of this car. Another 43 copies of the Veyron will be build, all Grand Sport versions. Bugatti won't say much about the successor yet. But we already know one competitor of this new Bugatti, the Veyron. Next year, Bugatti will end the Veyron chapter and start a new one with a new toy by the Volkswagen Group.
