Munich Delivers a New Bugatti Topspot - The Chiron Pur Sport

On one hand, the color is very special as this Chiron comes in blue carbon, and on the other hand, it's a cool combo captured by the photographer HerMuniCar, as a Blue Aventador SV joined the Chiron.

Munich keeps surprising us with incredibly cool spots, and this time it's with this Chiron. With its low front end, dynamic design, and impressive rear spoiler, it's evident at first glance that the new Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport craves for curves and demanding country roads. Pure and unadulterated. A true thoroughbred.

Bugatti has been producing road-legal sports cars for over 110 years. In the past, vehicles like the Type 13 and Type 35 have scored countless victories in international hill climbs and road races. The Chiron Pur Sport continues this longstanding tradition. The new model is an uncompromising hyper sports car designed specifically for those winding roads – a new aerodynamic configuration generates more downforce, while the reduced weight enhances agility. Thanks to closely spaced gear ratios, high-performance tires with a new material mix for extreme grip, and an agile suspension tuning, even average speeds will excite all senses. Unlike the Chiron Super Sport 300+, the record-breaking car that first exceeded the 300 miles per hour threshold, the Chiron Pur Sport emphasizes exceptional, perceptible performance across the entire speed range.

A new gearbox with a 15% closer overall ratio ensures even more dynamic driving behavior and further enhances the power distribution of the 8.0-liter W16 engine with 1,500 PS and 1,600 Newton-meters of torque. The vehicle now reaches its full power at 350 km/h. "Due to the significantly increased downforce generated by the new rear spoiler, we had to reduce the speed," explains Schwalbe. The gearbox underwent an 80% overhaul, and the entire wheelset, including four shafts and seven forward gears, was adapted to the new conditions. "We reconfigured each gear and fine-tuned new gear ratios, even though this iconic engine already packs plenty of power. The gears are now closer together to allow for shorter gear shifts and improved performance. Especially when accelerating out of corners, the Chiron Pur Sport becomes even more aggressive, thanks to the additional grip, more direct suspension, and improved damping," says Gregor Gries, Head of Major Assemblies at Bugatti. At the same time, Bugatti increased the maximum engine speed of the W16 unit by 200 rpm, reaching 6,900 rpm. This, combined with the closer overall ratio, significantly improves elasticity. As a result, the Chiron Pur Sport accelerates from 60 to 120 km/h almost two seconds faster than the already rapid Chiron. Overall, the elasticity values are 40% better compared to the Chiron.
