The very first Touring Superleggera Aero 3 emerges in Milan

For the very first time, we get a glimpse of the extraordinary vehicle from Touring Superleggera. Naturally, this Italian beauty was discovered in the art and design city of Milan, where this automotive masterpiece fits in seamlessly. While this car may not be everyone's cup of tea, it undeniably boasts a fascinating design. If you're eager to learn more about this vehicle, continue reading here.

Introduced in 2020, the distinct car named Touring Superleggera Aero 3 has been a fixture at almost every prestigious show. However, it hasn't truly graced the streets until now. Finally, the first registered Aero 3 in Switzerland makes its appearance in Milan.
The Aero 3 follows a specific design lineage, including the BMW 328 Touring Berlinetta, honored in 1939 with the Mille Miglia. Nevertheless, the direct inspiration for the Aero 3 was the Alfa Romeo 8C 2900 B LM Coupe Berlinetta Aerodinamica, deployed in Le Mans in 1938, sporting the number 19. Noteworthy in its design is the seemingly endless hood and the downturned rear, giving it a distinctive short tail.

The standout feature of the Aero 3 is its tail fin, often referred to as a shark fin in contemporary racing cars. This detail adds an intriguing cross-optic when viewing the car directly from behind. The Touring Aero 3 retains the space-frame chassis and the suspension from the donor vehicle: technology inherited from the Ferrari F12berlinetta, preserved in its mechanical, electrical, and electronic attributes.
Only fifteen units of the Aero 3 will be crafted. The sports car measures 4.80 meters in length, stands at 1.27 meters tall, and weighs 1,645 kilograms. Beneath the hood lies a V12 engine boasting 740 horsepower and 690 Newton-meters of maximum torque. The top speed is estimated at around 340 km/h, achieving 100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds. For those concerned about carbon emissions, it produces 350 grams per kilometer.
